Description
A typical Piedmontese farmhouse, built in the 1900s, renovated respecting the traditional style whilst incorporating environmental features (solar panels, water re-use, recovery of materials etc), surrounded by vineyards and hazel groves.
Whilst bathing in the infinity pool you can admire the views of the Grinzane-Cavour castle, enjoy the soothing panorama of the hills and the majesty of Monviso and the Alps in the tranquil countryside.
In the vaulted cellars the local wines can be savoured.
A multi-functional room is available for events (shala yoga, concerts, conferences).
Breakfast is an opportunity to sample products locally sourced, mainly organic: hazelnut cakes, croissants, tarts, bread with butter and jam, ham, local cheese, eggs, muesli and cereals, yoghurt.
On request we can provide breakfasts which are gluten free, lactose free or suitable for various dietary requirements.
I am Italian and my husband, Louis-Noël, is French, both long-time residents of Brussels where we worked as conference interpreters. We fell in love with the Langhe region and embarked on this new project which we wish to share with you.
We will extend an enthusiastic welcome to you, in any of the languages with which we are familiar (Italian, English, French, not to mention German, Spanish, Portuguese and Greek!).
Louis-Noël will provide advice on restaurants and wine cellars whilst I will be available to help with yoga and ayurvedic medicine.
It’s ideally placed for visits to Alba, centre of the truffle producing area, the enchanting castles of the Langhe region, its medieval towns (Monforte, Serravalle, Roddi, Barolo, Barbaresco and many others).
Numerous leisure activities are available: wine tasting in wine cellars, walking through vineyards, bike rides, horse riding, trips in hot air balloons.
